Over the past 13 weeks I worked on gr-inspector, a signal analysis toolbox for GNU Radio. GSoC now comes to an end, and it’s time to look back and evaluate the results. I can gladly say to have achieved all planned milestones, even one optional milestone (FM demodulation) was reached.
Saying this, I have to thank my awesome mentors Sreeraj Rajendran and Sebastian Koslowski. I got great support and help from them and they always had a look when I got stuck somewhere. Thank you guys!
After doing some code and documentation cleanup this week, gr-inspector 1.0.0 is available on GitHub and pybombs (I hope CGRAN will refresh soon). Check out the promo video if you haven’t done yet:
Since I will gladly remain maintainer of this module, ping me if you stumble upon any issues. I’ll try to provide support as good as I can.
Finally, I can say I spent the last 13 weeks having much fun with the inspector and the GNU Radio community. I was able to learn a lot and I’m looking forward to any future participation in GNU Radio (I might rake up gr-openssl).
Cheers,
Sebastian
